MUSICIAN-IN-RESIDENCE, from September 2014
Norwich High School is seeking to appoint a Musician-in-Residence from September 2014 to March 2015 to join our thriving and busy Music Department. Many girls learn a musical instrument and contribute to the musical life of the school and there are regular concerts and performances both in the school and at prestigious venues in the region and nationally.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic musician to join the Music Department whose role will be to help nurture an appreciation of Music and to inspire girls to develop a lifelong love of Music.
The post is likely to include a small amount of Key Stage Three classroom teaching, leading music groups, senior ensembles, jazz and popular music. A contribution to supporting the department, concerts and productions would also be expected both through coaching and performing.
It is anticipated that the post would involve part-time work in the school across two to three days per week as well as occasional evening commitments to support rehearsals and performances. An honorarium of up to £1,000 per month is available for the post.
