St Andrews Hall, Norwich

Autumn Concert

Smetana Vltava ‘Má Vlast’
Ravel Mother Goose (Ma mère l’Oye)
Rimsky-Korsakov Scheherazade
Ravel Le Tombeau de Couperin

Conductor Tadeusz Kaznowski
Leader Fiona Hutchins

Conducted by our Resident Conductor Tadeusz Kaznowski, the Mozart Orchestra offers a dazzling and colourful concert of music to close its 2019 season!

Rimsky Korsakov’s Scheherazade, considered to be Rimsky Korsakov’s most popular work combining features typical of Russian music and Smetana’s Vltava one of the most widely performed symphonic poems which describes the course of the river Vltava starting from two small springs to the unification of both streams into a single current.

Founded in 1961, the Mozart Orchestra has established itself as one of the leading orchestras in the local area, giving up to four concerts from May to October, usually three in Norwich and one further afield in East Anglia. The orchestra explores a wide-ranging repertoire and showcases both locally and nationally renowned soloists.
