Messiah by Candlelight

This is Norwich Baroque’s annual atmospheric and timeless start to Christmas week. Tickets usually sell out, so act quickly and free yourself from the bustle and commercial pressure of the high street and instead join them in our magnificent Cathedral to celebrate Handel’s way.

Tickets for all 2016-17 Norwich Baroque concerts are on sale at Prelude Records 01603 628319 at prices varying from £8–£20 with children £5 and for concerts at the Cathedral also from the Theatre Royal Box Office 01603 630000 or via the Cathedral website.

About Norwich Baroque
Performing with eminent soloists from the early music world, Norwich Baroque has established a niche for itself in the cultural life of the region. In their  10th anniversary year they are performing five concerts of great contrast: Vivaldi’s ever-fresh Four Seasons, Rebels and Reverends featuring some music way ahead of its time, two masterpieces of choral writing from Bach and Handel (the great Mass in B minor and Messiah) plus their own celebration of Christmas.

Looking ahead to 2017 you can choose from an evening with acclaimed mezzo-soprano Diana Moore, another in their hugely popular Live Programme Notes series of concerts with Dr. Simon Heighes and Bach’s awe inspiring St Matthew Passion.
