It has been sometime since we have had a wind quintet (clarinet/horn/oboe/flute/bassoon) in the chapel and this young group MORARTY WINDS, fresh out of the Academy, come with many accolades and an interesting programme. In addition to Carl Nielsen’s famous Wind Quintet they will be playing a wonderful work by the German composer Franz Danzi, whose compositions span the classical and romantic period – he knew both Mozart and Beethoven. As well as an interesting programme it should be quiet a spectacle! Do come along, Roger
P.S Don’t forget the last of Hugh MacDonald’s wonderful series of lectures on Monday evening – it’s The Russians this time.
